Weekly After School Volunteers

Our weekly volunteers tutor k-12 grade students, assist with recreation, or assist our Girl Scout leader at their meetings. Shifts are available after school Monday through Thursday.

Pathways Opportunities

There are a variety of opportunities for community members to help with our Pathways program.

  • At “Career Chats”, professionals discuss their career path and ways that our students can work in their field.

  • At our “Community Interview Day”, our students learn interview and professional skills through mock interviews with members of the community.

  • We also set up shadowing opportunities for our students through Pathways. Reach out to ourhousevolunteers@gmail.com if you are interested in providing a shadowing opportunity.

Community Group Events

Successful events feed the Our House community physically, spiritually, and/or academically. A few examples of enriching community group events we’ve hosted are “Fun Fridays” with our k-5th graders, a cooking class for our 6th-12th graders, and a volleyball clinic. Community groups who are interested in hosting an event with Our House can complete this form.

Community Group Service Projects

On-Site

Small groups of volunteers have completed hands-on service, including putting-up or taking-down holiday decorations, painting walls, or completing other handiwork around the property. Our needs vary throughout the year. You can email ourhousevolunteers@gmail.com to inquire about current opportunities.

Off-Site

Community groups can also serve Our House by completing various projects off-site. One example is constructing themed decorations for each week of our summer camp. Organizations have also planned fundraisers and drives benefiting Our House. Reach out to ourhousevolunteers@gmail.com to inquire about our needs and to coordinate off-site service projects.
